About TPM Club India

When the Indian economy was opened up during early 90’s, Indian Industry had to constantly strive towards becoming competitive with many global players entering Indian Market. Many new philosophies, tools & techniques were adopted by the Indian Industry to achieve this objective. One such philosophy which has been very successfully adopted was Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). With 167 Indian companies becoming comparable to their Japanese counterparts, many more have come to embrace TPM for competitiveness, growth, sustenance of results and as a way of life.

With an objective of supporting Indian Industry to become competitive through adoption of TPM, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) signed an MoU with Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance (JIPM), Japan in March 1998. TPM Club India of CII thus became the launch vehicle to promote TPM in India.
